Top tips to assist you on your Dry January journey

Did you know? In 1942, Finland instigated a programme called Raitis tammikuu (Sober January) to help aid the war effort against the Soviet Union. It’s believed Dry January may have been inspired by this.

Are you and your colleagues attempting Dry January? If so, you are one week down, well done! The next few weeks might really test your will power, so follow these tips to help you all along your way.

  • Do it properly – Sign up to the Dry January campaign and you will receive email support from the experts
  • Buddy up – Get a few of your colleagues together and encourage each other to stay on the bandwagon
  • Set a mantra – Put up notices around the workplace to remind you and your colleagues why you are attempting the challenge
