Don’t rely on messaging; conversation is key
Do you ever have a day at work where you are so engrossed in your tasks that you realise you have not actually spoken to anyone for a few hours? Okay so you might have communicated with them via email or a messaging service, but actually spending time to converse with your colleagues in person is sometimes overlooked in the workplace.
We are all social beings and it is good for both our mental and emotional wellbeing to ensure there is open dialogue in the workplace. To improve communication, why not encourage your employees to reduce the number of non-urgent emails they send in the workplace by moving around and talking more? Not only will it result in more vocal communication, it could lead to a more physically active workforce.
If you feel your employees could benefit from improved communication skills, then do not hesitate to contact us on 01924 666295 or visit our services page, we would love to hear from you.
