It’s coming, we all need to prepare and some of us are keeping our heads buried in the sand….AI …….it won’t go away.
It’s not a phase and we need to get line managers in the mindset to embrace the learning, the change it brings, and help them to contribute to the collaboration of thinking:
The World Economic Forum projects that 44% of core worker skills will change by 2027. As a result, 6 out of 10 workers will require training to adapt to this rapidly evolving landscape
McKinsey estimates 375 million workers worldwide will require upskilling by 2030
The UK parliament reported in October 2024 that ‘Approximately one in six businesses are currently using at least one AI application’
We are already aware of some of the challenges AI brings to the workplace, but here’s a few you could review to start with:
· increased work intensity
· decreased social interactions
· less promotion opportunities
· less learning opportunities
· disproportionately affecting disadvantaged groups as entry level work is removed
· an inability to disconnect from work
· change is decision making and approval processes
· changes in communications – danger we over communicate as we don’t remove the old methods
· scalable and intense multi-skilling
· open access to information – always has pros and cons
So, dust off the sand, review the plan of the work for the next 6 months and if you need any help and guidance please reach out the team@letsgethealthy.co.uk
