Brain tumors kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer

Do you ever have a day when you meet people and walk away and go WOW?

Well that happened yesterday to the Let’s Get Healthy team. We were working with a great team who had all completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks and were recovering and planning their next charity event. They are raising money for brain tumor research. A colleague’s husband has a tumor and they are all determined to help in anyway they can.

We provide lots of campaigns to help colleagues train the brain, be resilient and have great mental health and we started looking at the prevalence of brain cancer in the UK. We found out that brain tumors are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease – WOW

The impact of the friends and families of anybody with cancer is horrific but with so much little research into brain tumors they have to do more fund raising than most.

Please do check out the research the amazing charity is doing (https://www.braintumourresearch.org/research) and if you would like to feel great about helping a wonderful team raise more money for their loved ones – please spare a few pounds to Janet and her team. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/y0rkshirethreepeakschallenge
