Top tips for FESTIVE wellbeing at work

“This month can be dreadful for wellbeing, we are all skint, eating, drinking too much and a little stressed about what 2023 will bring”

Not the best way to start a meeting about health and wellbeing, but to be honest, I hear where they are coming from. Let’s look at it a different way:

FESTIVE
F – Financial wellbeing – there are some brilliant free resources available, lets get them out to everyone ASAP
E – Energy – plan downtime for everyone, there are teams where this month is ‘peak’, helping everyone take small breaks at work will increase energy levels
S – Stress – Share each and every day a coping mechanism to help with stress and remind managers to do all they can to talk to those who they see are struggling
T- Time – this month and next month, make sure there are no unnecessary meetings, have days where you are not allowed to ‘CC’ on emails, every meetings cannot last more than 40 minutes
I – Inclusion – reach out to everyone and I mean everyone, those who are driving, working remotely, part-time, full time and ensure your wellbeing activities are reaching them
V -Value – help colleagues value their own health and wellbeing, remind colleagues of their purpose and the importance of caring about their health
E- Enjoy – encourage everyone, every day to celebrate what made them smile at work
