Mental health awareness week – Help …. I haven’t had time to do anything!

Mental health awareness week – Help …. I haven’t had time to do anything!

Every year we get calls from managers who just haven’t had time to set up a structured response. Don’t worry, below are suggestions of what you can do each day and you can do them any week of the year.

Day 1 – Have a mental health break over lunch – encourage everybody to take a break and move away from their place of work (home, car, desk at work)
Day 2 – Share your morning tea break– encourage everybody to have a small break and talk to each other – not about work – about each other
Day 3 – Get physical – try and encourage everybody to do as much as they can today and update each other via photo’s
Day 4 – Chat to a colleague you don’t know, open up a virtual meeting and place groups of colleagues into random rooms and introduce each other / do the same if you are at work and invite everyone to a ‘meet and greet’
Day 5 – Celebrate YOU – tell everyone you meet why you’re great and encourage line managers to speak to team members about their strengths
