Note – NOT make them the heroes in a crisis, able to work 18-hour days, cope with every challenge and live the perfect life. Increasingly leaders share they are not happy, insisting on perfection in all they do.
Striving for excellence is healthy. But insisting on perfection is an uphill battle. You’ll never feel good enough if the bar is set impossibly high.
Mentally strong leaders accept that they’re going to fail at some point and guess what, they make mistakes too.
Leaders, take a breath, it’s OK to have flaws and weaknesses, in fact they make you the wonderful person you are.
