What are you doing to get teams outdoors?

What are you doing to get teams outdoors?

The dark evenings are creeping up on us. In many of the workshops we design and deliver, lots of employees have asked us about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) .

As more and more of us work from home, our journeys into work have disappeared and sometimes this was the only sunlight we used to get!

Seasonal Affective Disorder is regarded as a kind of major depression and has many of the same symptoms: loss of energy, change in appetite, tendency to oversleep, difficulty concentrating and irritability. Unlike major depression, it occurs seasonally, usually beginning in September or October and lasting through March or April.

For those with mild cases, 30 minutes of exercise in the morning sun may be all that is needed to keep the winter blues at bay, so do your best to encourage you team to get active outdoors.
